Introducing… March 31, 2009

Many of you have expressed your desire for semi-solid colorways in a heavier weight, and I am nothing if not accomodating. My DK yarn is a 100% superwash merino and kettled dyed to perfection. As with the sock yarn, each unique colorway has been named after the “slightly tarnished” blonde who inspired them.
Each skein is approximately 280 yds/115 grams/4oz. of luscious 100% Merino superwash. Gauge: 5-6 spi on #4-6
Dirty Blonde Superwash DK will be available at Dizzy Blonde Studios starting April 5, 2009. I am so pleased with the way these beautiful yarns turned out, I even gave them they’re own themesong!

Just wanted to drop on by before I forget to let everyone know that Dizzy Blonde Studios will be updating it’s store on April 4, 2009, at approx. 10:00 am, California time.
I’m really excited about this update! Not only do I have 2 new Dizzy Blonde Superwash Sock Colorways…
Faith & Slippery Slope
…I’m debuting an entirely new line! The Dirty Blonde Superwash DK is from the same wonderful 100% Merino superwash you’ve come to expect from Dizzy Blonde Studios. However this line is kettle-dyed, resulting in colors though semi-solid or monochromatic, are rich and vibrant.
Care to see more? Check out my yarn page for more Dirty Blonde pictures and details, but you may want to wait until after this coming Monday…in the meantime, how would you like to you get acquainted with Martha?

A few weeks ago I submitted a design concept to Twist Collective. Now, I already knew I was aiming kinda high, but I thought, what the heck! You don’t know if you don’t try, right?
So, yeah, I got a very nicely-worded submission rejection letter in my inbox today, and even though my design won’t be in the Fall 2009 issue of Twist Collective, it didn’t discourage me from submitting designs in the future. Who knows, one day you just might see some of my stuff in there. Instead, I’m going to knit up v 2.0 then self-publish the pattern. Want a little peak?

In the meantime check this out! Dizzy Blonde Studios, in cooperation with House of Awesome is pleased to announce their very first yarn club:
Bobbie and I are extremely excited about this collaboration, and we’re planning all sorts of fun stuff. Here are the details so far:
- Sign-ups begin the first week of April
- First shipment goes out in June
- Shipments will go out every other month for 1 year
- The cost: $150 for the entire year, payable either in 1 lump sum, or in three $50 installments. This cost includes shipping
- Membership will be limited to 50 people.
- The colorways are to be club exclusives. Never to be sold by us. And it’s all super secret until you get your installment.
- Feel free to guess to your black heart’s contents. There’s actually a theme within the theme. We may even take pity on you and drop subtle hints. Then again, we may not…because we’re mean.
- Each skein will come with a little something COLLECTIBLE attached to the band.
- For more information please visit the Mean Girls Yarn Club web page.
